If I decide to try Therapy, what do I do?
Please contact me via e-mail. I will then arrange a 30 minute initial meeting with you so that you can meet me and discuss why you are thinking about starting therapy. This meeting is free and is a good time to meet me and get an idea of what therapy will be like without feeling that you need to make a commitment. Sometimes, you need to think more about therapy and whether or not it is right for you.
If you do wish to start therapy, an appointment is made that is convenient for you.
What are the practical arrangements regarding Therapy?
The initial appointment will be like an assessment meeting to discuss your particular concerns in more detail. During this meeting, confidentiality will be discussed. Any goals you wish to attain will be discussed. There will be some discussion over whether outcomes can be achieved in the short term or long term and this is very dependant on each individual. If there are complex issues, longer term therapy is required. More frequently people find that they need ten to twelve sessions. However, during therapy we re-cap and review progress which gives you a good indication of how many sessions are required.
What is the Therapy Contract?
The Therapy Contract is a term used to describe the pre-conditions necessary in order for individuals to feel comfortable when starting therapy. These pre-conditions require that therapy is based on confidentiality, discussed more fully on commencement. The day and time for your appointment is negotiated. People find that it is better scheduling a regular time in the week to attend. However, if you have irregular routines e.g. work shifts, then it may be better to organise a monthly planner. Therapy sessions are for 60 minutes. I require 24 hours notice for cancellations. the full fee will be incurred if notice is not given. This is standard practise.
How much does Therapy cost?
Twickenham/Hounslow: Individual Therapy is £75. Sessions can be booked between 9am until 7pm. I offer a reduced rate of £30 for those who have arrived here recently from Ukraine (currently there is a short waiting time)
Supervision sessions are £80 paid by cash, cheque or Bank Transfer during the session.
Consultation sessions are £120 paid by cheque or bank transfer
